In compiling this list I have attempted to include as many as possible of those officers and men who joined the Battalion prior to the 1st July attack on Serre. I am indebted to John Garwood, Andrew Gill, Walter Holmes, Alan Mackay, Dennis Otter, Fergus Read and William Turner, for without their research this compilation would have been a far less complete work.

aptd.: appointed; attd., attached; b., born; bd., buried; comm., commemorated; d., died; demob., demobilized; dis., discharged; d.o.w., died of wounds; e., enlisted; k.i.a., killed in action; P.O.W., prisoner of war; s., son; w., wounded.
