This photograph of officers from the 11th Bn. East Lancashire Regt. (Accrington Pals) was taken at Sarton in October 1916. Standing fourth from right is a French interpreter; standing seventh from right is 2/Lt. St. John Battersby; seated sixth from left appears to be Q.M. Hon. Lt. T. Smith with A/Maj. John Victor Kershaw and Lt. Col. Edward Leopold Reiss on his left; seated second from right is 2/Lt. Bart Endean.

Any help in identifying these officers would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at andrew.jackson@btinternet.com
